Opportunity

As part of the Solutions Team’s initiative to improve speed to market and standardize embedded insurance solutions globally, we identified a need for scalable implementation frameworks that could support smaller partners requiring more out-of-the-box guidance.

The goal was to transform years of UI/UX experimentation, partner learnings, content strategy, and conversion insights into a repeatable best-practices system that enabled partners to launch optimized and compliant embedded insurance experiences more efficiently.

The initiative began with the Travel vertical and established the foundation for future solution kits across Ticketing, Retail, Logistics, and RentalCover.

Design framework

Defined and documented optimized embedded insurance flows and interaction models, including mandatory selection, unbundling strategies, customization flows, and CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) experiences.

Created detailed UI/UX guidelines covering:

  • Offer placement within the purchase journey

  • Panel hierarchy and interaction patterns

  • Messaging and content usage

  • Accessibility and compliance considerations

  • Recommended experimentation opportunities

Partnered closely with UX writers, insurance stakeholders, PGMs, and compliance teams to ensure all experiences balanced usability, business performance, and regional regulatory requirements.

Developed scalable design patterns and reusable guidance that positioned the Solutions Team as embedded protection UX experts while creating consistency across partner implementations.

Experimentation

Leveraged partner performance data, internal research, and experimentation insights to develop data-driven optimization strategies tailored to each vertical.

Led qualitative research initiatives across multiple verticals to gather user feedback on embedded insurance offers, uncovering insights into usability, customer behavior, and effective UI patterns that informed design recommendations and experimentation priorities.

Collaborated with partners to introduce and prioritize A/B testing initiatives, using learnings from successful partner implementations and internal testing to recommend high-performing offer experiences and UI variants. Developed structured experimentation roadmaps that enabled partners to iterate on winning variants and continuously improve attach rate and conversion performance.

Collaboration & delivery

Facilitated alignment across design, content, product, compliance, and partner services teams through workshops, stakeholder reviews, training sessions, and iterative feedback loops.

Presented best-practice frameworks and experimentation strategies to internal sales, customer solutions, and partner teams, demonstrating implementation approaches, optimization rationale, and the effectiveness of data-driven embedded insurance experiences.

Managed the operational workflow for tailoring and distributing partner-ready frameworks, ensuring implementations remained customized while adhering to standardized UX, experimentation, and compliance principles.
